You can delete your account and your data at any time, in the app or by email.

Two ways to delete your account

  • In the app: Profile → Settings → Account & Privacy → Delete account.
  • Without the app: email support@bikeapp.com from the address on your account, and we'll delete it within 30 days.
  • Your profile, routes, rides, posts and messages are deleted. Other riders' own content stays.

Deleting your account is permanent. It can't be undone, and we can't bring back anything that was deleted.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Settings (the gear).
  3. Tap Account & Privacy, then Delete account.
  4. Confirm it's you: enter your password, or tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple if that's how you sign in.
  5. Tap Permanently delete account, then Delete to confirm.

Deletion usually finishes right away. If something is still being cleaned up, the app tells you and signs you out. The rest finishes automatically.

Without the app

You don't need the app, or your phone. Email us at support@bikeapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Swervo account".

We'll confirm it's your account, then delete it within 30 days.

What's deleted

Everything that's yours:

  • Your profile and photo, and your garage (your bikes).
  • Every route you made, public or private, with its photos, comments and likes. Riders who saved or bookmarked your routes lose them, and wherever one of them was shared in the app (in a post, a meet or a saved list) it shows “This route is no longer available.”
  • Your rides and their GPS tracks.
  • Your posts, and your comments, likes and bookmarks.
  • Meets and group rides you host. Active group rides end.
  • Your friends list and follows.
  • The messages you sent, including in group ride chats.
  • Safety Tracking. Your family link stops working at once.
  • The rest: your achievements, notifications, the reports you sent and the files you uploaded.

What's kept

Other riders' own content stays:

  • Rides they recorded, even along one of your routes. Only the link to your route is removed.
  • Their posts, meets and group rides. If one used your route, it stays without it.
  • Replies they wrote under your comments.
  • Messages they sent you.

Nothing of yours is left published under a "Deleted user" name.

How long it takes

In most cases, your account is deleted immediately. If a step fails, we retry it automatically, and everything is gone within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something.

We keep a record that the deletion happened for 7 days, so it can finish safely. It holds only your account's random id and the dates, nothing else about you.

Copies in our backups may last a little longer, until they are overwritten.

Subscriptions

Swervo has no paid subscription in the app yet. If you ever buy one through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your account doesn't cancel it. Cancel it in your store account: App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.

What we collect and how long we keep it is in our Privacy Policy.
